CVH Curbside Service

 Option 1: Curbside Appointment

Step 1: We will get a full, detailed history over the phone and determine the plan. We will also confirm which is the best cell number to call you on.

Step 2: An assistant will come out to the car to bring your pet inside the hospital.

Step 3: Your doctor will perform a thorough exam and determine if diagnostics or treatments need to be performed. This may take 10-15 minutes. We apologize if we are backed up and this takes longer – we are all doing our best with the struggles of curbside service.

Step 4:
Physical Exam/Consultation: If you have a concern about your pet – your doctor will call you on the cell number you provided, and discuss exam findings and next steps. Depending on diagnostics and/or treatments, next steps will be performed – this may take anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours. Your doctor will let you know if you can leave or should stay in your car. Once the diagnostics/treatments are finished, either your doctor or an assistant will call you on the number you provided to inform you of the results and when your pet will be ready to go home.
Wellness Exam: If this is a wellness exam with no concerns and your doctor does not find anything concerning on exam, an assistant will call you to check you out over the phone and bring your pet to your car.

If you choose Option 1 – you must stay in your car and have your cell phone ready and available to answer when we call. If you do not answer when either the assistant or doctor calls, your appointment will become a fit-in – we will move on to the next patient/appointment and will finish any discussion with you once we are available again. You will also be charged a fee for hospitalization depending on how long your pet stays in the hospital – this will cover the cost of cleaning the kennel and the time spent attempting to contact you.

Option 2: Drop-off

Step 1: We will get a full, detailed history over the phone and determine the plan. We will also confirm which is the best number to call you on.

Step 2: An assistant will come out to the car to bring your pet inside the hospital. You may leave at this time.

Step 3: Your doctor will perform a thorough exam as time allows, and determine if diagnostics or treatments need to be performed.

Step 4:
If diagnostics and/or treatments need performed, your doctor will call you on the number you provided to discuss exam findings and next steps. Depending on diagnostics and/or treatments, next steps will be performed – this may take anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours. Once the diagnostics/treatments are finished, either your doctor or an assistant will call you on the number you provided to inform you of the results and when your pet will be ready to go home.
Wellness Exam: If this is a wellness exam with no concerns and your doctor does not find anything concerning on exam, an assistant will call you to inform you when your pet will be ready to go home.

Step 5: Once you are given a discharge time and you arrive back at the hospital, please call the cell number listed in the window. An assistant will then get you checked out over the phone and bring your pet to your car.

If you choose Option 2 – you may leave once we have obtained a thorough history. You must have your phone ready and available to answer when we call later after we have finished your pet’s exam. If we are unable to get ahold of you throughout the day, you will be charged a fee for hospitalization depending on how long your pet stays in the hospital – this will cover the cost of cleaning the kennel and the time spent attempting to contact you.
