VETERINARY ASSISTANT
Creswell Veterinary Hospital is looking to add to our team. We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant for a Monday thru Friday full-time position. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We are willing to train the right team member.
The successful candidate will be a part of a Small Animal/Exotics single Doctor, AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited hospital. We see Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Rats, Mice, Sugar Gliders, and Hedgehogs. Candidate must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to multi-task, be flexible, and want to learn and live the Veterinary experience. Computer skills are necessary.
Job duties will include but are not limited to:
-Greeting patients and their owners as they arrive for their appointment
-Do appointment check ins in exam rooms: take accurate history
-Restraining animals carefully and safely
-Clean and maintain hospital and surgical areas, adhere to hospital safety and wellness regulations
-Work well with others and handle stress in a busy work environment
-Ability to multi-task, get along with team members, and work independently
-Computer skills and ability to learn software program
-Answer multi-line phones with compassion and professionalism
-Fill prescriptions, perform lab work and diagnostic imaging
-Ability to lift 50 lbs., and any other duties as assigned.
